TRAVEL UPDATE

Sadly we can't go to The Bahamas at the moment, but we're happy to tell you that things are beginning to open up again.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar has announced that it will open on 17th December.  Check out this lovely video for more information

Atlantis Paradise Island will open The Royal and Harborside Resort on 10th December and The Reef on 17th December.  See their web site for all the details of which restaurants, bars and resort activities and attractions will be open.

New entry protocols were introduced from 1 November.  The Bahamas requires all travellers to:

  1. Obtain a COVID-19 RT PCR test five (5) days prior to arrival.
  2. Apply for a Bahamas Health Travel Visa at travel.gov.bs
  3. Take a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test on Day 5 of the visit (unless departing on day 5).
  4. Always wear a mask and always social distance in public places.

In addition, beginning 14 November 2020, all visitors will be required to opt-in to mandatory COVID-19 health insurance when applying for their Health Travel Visa. The insurance will cover travellers for the duration of their stay in The Bahamas.

The cost of the tests and insurance are included in the cost of the Health Travel Visa, and the cost of the visa depends on length of stay.    For full information and details of other local health security measures Click Here
