ENTRY PROTOCOLS

The Bahamas requires all travellers to:

  1. Obtain a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test three (3) days prior to arrival unless unvaccinated, in which case, a full PCR test will be required.  Children aged 2-12 need only take a rapid antigen test.
  2. Apply for a Bahamas Health Travel Visa at travel.gov.bs
  3. Always wear a mask and always social distance in public places.
  4. For onward travel to the USA (or for those routing home via the USA) a pre-flight rapid antigen test is now provided at your hotel free of charge.
  5.  For Bahamas entry protocols and advice head over here:  https://www.nassauparadiseisland.com/health-and-safety

In addition, all visitors will be required to opt-in to mandatory COVID-19 health insurance when applying for their Health Travel Visa. The insurance will cover travellers for Covid-related medical treatment and hospitalisation in The Bahamas, for the duration of their stay.  However medical evacuation and repatriation is not included for tourists travelling from outside of North America.  You should ensure that your clients are covered for this within their own travel insurance.

The cost of the insurance is included in the cost of the Health Travel Visa, and the cost of the visa depends on length of stay.    For full information and details of other local health security measures Click Here
